Paris in the Fall...

I know everyone says this, but autumn is one of my top seasons - the deep russets, reds, browns, orange, yellow, the array of leaves fallen around, kicking through the piles of leaves on a crisp dry day, the winter sun bouncing off rivers, in bright flashes.
A season of beauty and a time to thank God for his majesty seen in creation.

With September and October being so hard for us for a number of reasons, (the easiest moments being Matt turning 30 and us celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary) in which God has been teaching me and changing me in oh so many ways, but painful and hard ways, it was a real treat to have the offer of a dear friend to pay for us to go on eurostar to see her in Paris! Paris!!! I have never been, neither has Matt - so we were very excited! It really took off some pressure and gave us a good start to November.

Eurostar from St Pancras was fun, seeing Christina and spending time with her was soooo great and another friend Tom, going to French church and singing some classic songs that we sing at church here in french was funny! We were given champagne in the hotel room, went and saw the Sacre Coure at sunset with cheese, wine and french bread of course! We saw the Eiffel Tower, Champs-elysees, notre dame, cycled by the Seine on a sunday afternoon, visited inside the Louvre, sampled French cafe's and went to the stunning roof view of Paris on top of Primtemps.
We are very thankful for such a restful 3 days in Paris! It is truly a beautiful city, with gorgeous buildings around every corner! Loved it!
